BRAD HOGARTH
Barber/owner
Brief history about his barber experience. He started his apprenticeship in Southern California in 2006 at the Syndicate barber shop in Long Beach. That’s where he learned the traditional ways of barbering. In 2008 he moved to Las Vegas and spent ten years cutting hair and honing my skill. He worked at the Wynn and Mirage in their celebrity salons. In 2010 he started working in trade shows and working with hair product companies such as Suavecito, Nivia for Men, Truefitt & Hill, and Highlife Pomade. He has traveled all over the world learning how other countries and cultures cut hair. Now he has permanently relocated in Amador County to bring his traditional barbering to a traditional way of life.

It’s never a dull moment when you sit in Holly’s chair. Not only do you get an amazing haircut, you get her upbeat conversations, jokes and smile that makes your personal experience more enjoyable. You will feel like a completely new person due her attention to detail, and with the traditional hot towel to add to the finishing touch.
Holly has always had a desire to cut and style hair, but the universe had other plans for her. She married and started a family young. Now that her children are in high school, Holly decided to attend Federico Beauty Institute Barber program and graduated September 9, 2021. She successfully completed 1500 hours, attended and passed the California BarberCosmo hands-on and written exam with flying colors. Starting out later in life had made her more dedicated than ever on improving and perfecting her own techniques, while learning from her mentor, Brad Hogarth. The devotion to her craft is clear by the zero hesitation to go above and beyond the Barbershop’s expectations, as well as yours.

Born and raised in Humboldt County and moved down to the area early 2022. I have been doing nails for 13 plus years. Best of Humboldt in 2017 before getting pregnant with my youngest boy. I joined the UpCountry family May 2022. I absolutely love my job. I’ve worked in salons in Humboldt county as well as Sacramento. I love to make people feel good when they leave my chair. Im creative and willing to try designs you might see. I’m a open person and I love getting to know the ladies in my chair. Come see me and get your nail game on.

Born and raised in Calaveras County, Alara specializes in hair color and blonding. A graduate of Paul Mitchell the School MTI College, Alara is back in the country after a year in LA working in a high-end blow dry bar. When not in the salon or keeping up with the latest hair trends, Alara can be found singing or writing her own music. Friendly and outgoing, Alara will take the time to understand your style and hair goals to tailor her service to you. She has worked with clients from all walks of life, and has the expertise and creativity it takes to create stunning and personalized hair transformations. Maxie Kakridas-Phillips is a passionate beautician who loves to make her customers feel welcomed and good about themselves. she aims to please her customers and take the maximum time to do an efficiant job. She has 12 years of experience in the salon industry and services men, woman and children. On her days off she spends a lot of time with her son and husband and enjoys the outdoors and beach. She is fun loving and down to earth human being.
